Windy and cold but mostly bright. It rained a bit before the walk but not during it. Still much water
lying around and the general consensus was that this was the muddiest walk so far. Going very hard
in places, slowing us down considerably. The northern part of the course around Peterley Manor was
abandoned, although a sub group, trying to take a short cut, actually got there by accident. As Ginny
was exhausted at this point, she and Pete N stayed there while Mike and Brian legged it to the pub where
Mike took his car and drove to Peterley Manor Farm and rescued Ginny and Pete.
Ten of us started the walk, another three and a cyclist met us in the Full Moon and Pete N went home before lunch. Lovely pub with good food and three ales on offer - Rebellion IPA, Wadworth's Red and Fullers LP. I can't actually find any data about the red so maybe I got it wrong. Needless to say, most (if not all) of us were on the Rebellion.
