2020 January 16 Piddington - Dashwood Arms

When we arrived at the Dashwood car park it was seen to be full of cars and cyclists. More were arriving as we waited for the rest of our group. Another walking party also turned up. We preordered our lunch and checked that we were expected as the large number of people was a little worrying.
Weather pretty much the same as recent. No rain during the walk but plenty of water lying around. We were on bridleways for the most part and, of course, they were heavily churned up by horses. Several big hippo wallows as can be seen in the pictures. At around four miles in total, it still took 1h 50m to get round.

There were ten of us on the walk and another five (eventually) meeting us in the pub. Despite the numbers, the staff coped very well and the beer (at least the Rebellion Roasted Nuts) was in great condition. My last pint was a bit cloudy, suggesting it was running out! The landlord was very cheerful and obviously pleased with the trade he was getting.
