2019 October 24 Sarratt - Cock Inn

Cool and overcast. It started raining about half way around the course but only lightly. It got heavier during lunch. A bit muddy in places where horses and motor vehicles had churned the ground up. The river was flowing quite well and looked very clear as we crossed it (twice, of course). Clear enough that we saw some big crayfish on the bottom. No deviations or short cuts.

There were eight of us on the walk and another four joined us in the Cock. This is a Hall & Woodhouse (Blandford) pub so no "guest" ales but the Fursty Ferret was good and most popular. Food was very good with the chips rated "excellent" by those who had them.
