Sunny to start but slowly clouding over. There was some light rain around the middle of
the walk and still drizzly by the time we got back. Lots of fungi about and a couple of
big ant hills. Some very nice houses as we approached Egypt. No pyramids though.
Nine of us (and Jinks) did the walk. No deviations but two and Jinks took a short cut across the western end of the course. Five more joined us for lunch in the White Horse. "Templar" seemed to be the ale of choice but there was no other info - about the only down side to serving ale from the cask. Some research suggests it's made by the White Hart Brewery of Halstead, Essex, but no website to confirm.
