A mild but surprisingly humid day. The walk was mostly in woodland with some hills which
made us all quite warm and damp. There was a forced deviation through Great Cookshall Wood
where the landowner had fenced off some areas but this didn't significantly alter the course.
Seven commenced the walk, one more joined later by walking the opposite direction and four more and two cyclists joined us for lunch. A pleasant and spacious pub, good food and a choice of two ales - Rebellion IPA and Doombar. Most of us were on the IPA which was very well kept.
