A bright, sunny and warm day, spoiled (for me) by being delayed for 45 minutes in
Beaconsfield in traffic gridlock; so I was late arriving and missed the group pictures.
I was not amused. A group of deviants split from the main party somewhere near Bourne End
and I did something similar to try and catch up. I found myself between the two groups
and eventually caught up with the deviants. Back at Little Marlow, I followed Kate and
Nigel back towards the nearest lake in the hope of catching Jinx being washed after she
got herself very muddy in a ditch.
Now it gets tricky. Nine (without me) started the walk. There were four deviants and then me. Then we met Pete N coming the other way - who later decided to meet up with the main body coming up behind. Then three of us (and dog) went off towards the lake instead of going straight to the pub.
Rather fewer ales on than in the past; just Rebellion IPA and Zebedee. The Zebedee is a bit too strong for lunch time (not to mention hoppy!). We all sat outside in the garden, it being such a glorious day.
