Dull and cold, first thing, but by 10am there was a clear blue sky! First part of the walk
was through the middle of the village and past the famous
hospital then down through
a nature reserve to the Grand Union Canal. A little shorter than usual but with so many
distractions we were back at the normal time.
Six were on the walk and two more were waiting in the pub. A few of the 'regulars' were away on holiday. Not cheap but a very attrctive pub, typical of Brunning & Price and very busy. Tring Side Pocket was as popular as ever but there were several other ales on as well but I forgot to get a picture of them. It would have been difficult in any case as the bar was always busy.
