A dull, cool day. Muddy in places but largely avoidable. Reasonably flat around the
golf course and then a gentle climb up the hill to the monument followed by a slightly
less gentle decent to the village and pub. Just over 4 miles (6.4km) in 2 hours.
There were five who started the course and one more and a dog joined us about ⅔ of the way around. Two more joined us for lunch. Another super pub with good food and a decent selection of ales. Tring "Side pocket" was popular as ever and I was on Chiltern "Beachwood". Also available were Tring "Colley's Dog" (strong: 5.2%), XT8 and Hornes "Blindside" (also strong: 5%) but about which I know nothing.
