2019 February 28 Prestwood - Chequers Tree

A somewhat dull and drizzly day, certainly when compared to the sunny and warm spring like weather we've had over the last couple of days. Drizzle turned to rain about half way around which resulted in my trousers getting quite wet. Fortunately, it didn't last long and they were dry again by the time we reached the pub at 1215.

Nine and a dog completed the walk with another six joining us for lunch. Tony was kind enough to buy the drinks to celebrate his birthday. A GK pub with no guest ales. Insipid Pale Ale was claimed to be popular by the locals but we avoided it and went for the Old Specked Hen (brewed by GK, of course). My pizza was very good.
