Cold start but sunny and warming rapidly. After last weeks camera failure, I made sure the camera was
working and had a backup. Mike also had his camera and contributed to the collection. Barry is still off, sick.
We didn't exactly stick to the plotted route. The southern tip around the Pickerage was cut in favour of the
northerly route (as used last year). Then when we got to the cross way near Leith Wood, most favoured cutting
straight across and I was so hot, I didn't fancy the climb to Hedgerley Green.
There were seven of us on the walk with another five joining us for lunch. As usual, we were in the heated tent on the terrace behind the pub. Lots of ales - "Wonderland" from Green Duck (first I've heard of them too) was quite popular but I tried "Demon Red IPA" (yes, a contradiction in terms) from Brew Monster. Wasn't enamoured.
