Mild but largely sunny day with expected high winds. Down on the ground among the trees however, not very windy at all. Lots of woodland but then we stuck to the road on the return leg as the fields we were supposed to traverse looked very muddy with heavy clay. We got back a little early - 1215. Sadly my camera failed (actually the battery - yes, it had been charged). Dominic came to the rescue and took most of the pictures here.
Seven walked the course and another five joined us for lunch. This place has gone up-market a little and the food was more restaurant than pub - no sarnies or baguettes. Nevertheless, it was good and plenty of it. Most popular ale was Vale "Lock Prop and Barrel" which I found a bit over hoppy so I switched to Rebellion "Roast Nuts".
