Cold. Just above zero so potentially muddy areas frozen nicely solid, although things were getting
a bit soft towards the end of the walk. Country we have covered in the past so nothing outstanding.
Bright sunshine for most of the walk. Two and a dog took a short cut near Moors farm. 4½ miles in
1 hour 50 mins (for the main group).
Seven and a dog started the walk and another four joined us in the pub for lunch. Although the walkers had pre-ordered (and I was top of the list) the food was a bit late arriving - mine being last. Makes you wonder why bother. Ales were good, Chiltern Beechwood seemed to be most popular. Great pub, well kept ales.
