2018 January 25 Downley -
Le DeSpencer's Arms

A cool but quite sunny day. A pleasant change after all the rain. However, that made the ground very boggy in places - mostly in the woods. Quite a hilly route and combined with the soggy terrain made progress a little slow. About 4 miles in 2 hours 5 mins which includes pauses for "points of interest".

Another big turnout - 14 on the walk and another 5 joining us for lunch. Food good and averagely priced. (My Jacket potato with Tuna Mayo was just under £7). A Fullers pub but offering a guest which was St. Austell "Cousin Jack" - tasty and well kept. Excellent pub.
