Overcast but quite mild, threatening rain. We did get a light shower at one point but nothing
serious. Quite hilly and fairly long (>5 miles) some described it as a "bit ambitious". As a result,
the course was shortened, taking the route past Solinger House, through Sergeants Wood and passing
the "Hangings" to the east. That made it 4.3 miles in exactly 2 hours.
There were seven and two dogs on the walk with two more and two cyclists joining us for lunch. Once
a Green King pub, it's now independent and so two other beers were available. Most popular was
Vale "Brill Gold", quite hoppy
by my taste so my second choice was the Rebellion IPA.
