Warm, cloudy with sunny spells. Trains were operating along the Chinnor branch, but we
were not in a position to see them pass. There was a problem in the field below Bledlow where ponys
and donkeys were being kept. The way was not marked and it took us a while to find a way back
to the correct path. Then there was the problem of Henton. The path behind the houses was
badly overgrown and we had to fight our way along it - particularly at the southern end, but
we actually completed it. Because of all the time lost, it was decided to make a bee line
for the pub from this point. Fortunately, there was a path available that took us across a
field where combining was in operation. Tricorder made it 4.6 miles in 2h 10m.
Nine and two dogs completed the walk with another two and two cyclists joining us for lunch.
Ales included a couple of Wadsworth, Leighton Buzzard
"4.2" and the one everyone was drinking,
Vale "Wychert" - excellent.
